Here are some of the things that the children and Faculty had to say about their experience:

“The being still activity clears my mind and I’m not thinking about other things in class.”

-WES 6th grade student

“…I’m engaged and it helps me focus for the rest of the day.”

-WES 5th grade student

“The Mindful SELF program has been a wonderful addition to our Thursday mornings… Thursdays have become one of our best days at school with this relaxing, rejuvenating start to our day. Students and teachers share that they feel calm after the program. It is a wonderful way for us to come together as a reminder to be both present and reflective throughout our day. As teachers, we have integrated breathing exercises and poses throughout our day as a way to calm students after a stressful recess or release some of our energy during cold winter days. Thank you for sharing this beautiful practice!”

-WES Teacher

“The program is alive and well and has made a difference.”   – Building Principal
